The Franciscan Friars opened the Retreat Center at the Garden of Gospel Peace upon the invitation of Cardinal Michael Michai, Archbishop of Bangkok. The Retreat Center is located 60 kilometers northeast of Bangkok, about one hour from the Don Muang International Airport, in Lamsai, Pathumthani Province. It is surrounded by several small ponds and beautifully maintained gardens. The lovely gardens are surrounded by a well-lit walkway for quiet, meditative walks in the evening, or just for a short stroll to gaze at the stars. Most guest bedrooms are for two, three or four persons, with some larger dormitory-style rooms also; all rooms have showers and toilets and many are air-conditioned. The main retreat building, opened this year, has a spacious dining room and an air-conditioned conference room overlooking one of the small ponds.
The facilities are available for retreats, seminars and workshops for 40-60 people. Smaller rooms can house two, three or four people; while the larger dormitory rooms will house 10 or more.
The Chapel is always open for meditation and contemplation before the Blessed Sacrament.
The Friars are also available to direct retreats if you do not have a retreat director.
