As we look to the year 2000, we ask ourselves as individuals and institutions, "What lies ahead for our world and its people? What are the cultural realities that are shaping us? We invite you to consider what we offer here at the Franciscan Renewal Center as you contemplate your life in relation to the future.

Office of Social Concers
This is part of the Casa's pastoral ministry offering assistance to the poor and needy, caring for the environment and each other, and other tasks and services in the areas of peace, social justice, and outreach. For more information, contact Kathy Saile at (480)948-7460, Ext. 130.

Counseling Services and On-Going Support Groups
Our professional volunteer counselors offer counseling for families, couples, and individuals with relationship difficulties, substance abuse, stress, depression, or personal growth issues. For more information, please contact the counseling office at (480) 948-7460, Ext. 133 between the hours of 8:30AM and NOON, Monday through Friday.

Retreats, Adult Education, and Programs
The many classes, workshops, and retreats are for all adults. Focus is on personal growth, parenting and family life, spiritual formation and discernment, cultural diversity, and interfaith dialogue as well as the arts and the humanities.

Elderhostels are also held here at the Center approximately 10 times during the year.

Retreat topics change from year to year. They cover a wide variety: engaged couples, singles, married couples, religious, divorced and separated, those living with HIV-AIDS, and women's and men's retreats. MONDAYS
Divorce and Serparation
This group deals with the pain of divorce and separation in a positive, healing way, among supportive and caring people.
7 PM - 8:30 PM

Improving Relationships
This group concentrates on establishing comfortable relationships by developing positive attitudes and learning to free yourself from resentment and judgment.
7 PM - 8:30 PM


TUESDAYS
Overcoming Depression, Anxiety and Stress
How to cope with the problems of everyday life and how to overcome self-defeating behavior patterns.
7 PM - 8:30PM

Grief Support Dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Second and Fourth Tuesdays 7 PM - 8:30 PM


WEDNESDAYS
Women's Support Group
An open support group for women of all ages and lifestyles where topics of current interest to women are discussed.
10 AM - 11:30 AM

Self-Esteem
A growth group to promote positive self-image. Learn how to receive the love you deserve.
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Incest Survivors
This support group is a safe and supportive place where women are encouraged to share their story about what happened to them, their feelings, memories and ongoing problems related to their sexual abuse.
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Breast Cancer
This support group offers a safe place for women, who have or have had breast cancer, to deal with their feelings.
Second and Fourth Wednesdays 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM


FRIDAYS
The Many Face of Chemical Dependency
A support group for anyone whose life has been touched by substance abuse or abusers-recovering, A.C.A., co-dependents, AA, Al-Anon, etc.
