Our Women's Retreat was held the last weekend on October of this year and we all left spiritually, physicall and emotionally renewed. We truly felt the presence of God in our worship, our prayers and our laughter. I look forward to returning next October. God's Blessing. P.S. Thank you Jenny for all you did to make this a wonderful event. Thank you to the kitchen staff for the excellent meals. Thank you Fr. Mel for reminding us of the importace of being "still" and "listening". Serra Retreat is a little piece of Heaven on earth. I was an exhausted restless anxiety ridden soul and my church in Laguna Niguel had July annual retreats. I had been in bible study and someone saw me crying and suggested I attend with then. That 1st retreat was in one word a Godsend. I was desparate and the healing began. I heard many inspirations stories but mostly just felt at peace and one with God during my stay. Fr Emery Tang told it like it was and I love that type of spirit. My life is full of hurdles but I will never forget the words Love is God and God is Love. I thank Serra Retreat and it's entire staff for such a wonderful place of reflection, healing and prayer. I can close my eyes and be there whenever I need a pick me up. May God Bless You All. This is a day that has forever changed my life. I went to the retreat with a friend to enjoy its beauty and take in the views of Malibu. What happened to me is unexplainable. Also, the Adoration Chapel is a great gift for spending one-on-one time with Jesus - truly the most impactful moments of my time there. It is a special place where I can go and nurture my soul and bring my needs and prayers before the Lord as I seek his strength, guidance and will for my life. I encourage people to come and take a break from the world to renew and rest here in this special Canyon and place of true retreat. "Bud Bud", the retreat house dog also greeted me so graciously upon my arrival ~ it was wonderful from beginning to end. I recentlycompleted a 3-day weekend private retreat at Serra Retreat.
